We are so pleased to bring you our 2020 Mid-Michigan Guide to Summer Camps! This is a wonderful guide to camps in + around our area.

Below you will find all kinds of information on the variety of summer camps: from traditional overnight camps and museum to language camps and more.

Camp Copneconic

Since 1915, YMCA Camp Copneconic has been a staple of excellence in the region. Their focus continues to be on creating and strengthening lasting friendships, developing skills, providing genuine and high-quality programs, and building character.

Camp Copneconic is nestled on 125-acre Lake Copneconic, which serves as the perfect backdrop for a long list of amazing adventures including the high ropes course, zip lines, horseback riding, waterfront activities and more. As a year-round camp and retreat center, YMCA Camp Copneconic offers the best variety of programs that tailor to groups of many sizes and purposes. They employ only the most enthusiastic and caring team members that have received extensive training in camper well-being, activity leadership, emergency response, and much more.

Offerings include School Programs, Youth Retreats, Special Events, and Seasonal Camps throughout the fall, winter and spring seasons. Throughout the summer season, Camp Copneconic offers a wide variety of both Day Camps and Overnight Camps.

YMCA Camp Hayo-Went-Ha

Located in beautiful Northern Michigan near Traverse City, YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps offer a dynamic combination of wilderness experiences and on-site activities at separate boy’s and girl’s camps. Each camp offers challenging wilderness adventure programs at each age level including hiking, canoeing, biking, kayaking and sailing in beautiful out of camp locations in Northern Michigan and Southern Canada.

Traditional on site activities include campfires, high ropes course, SCUBA, climbing tower, swimming, horse riding, sports, and archery. Come and be unplugged this summer and meet new friends!

Say & Play Summer Camps
at Speech Language Learning Center


The Speech Language Learning Center’s summer programs provide Speech and Language therapy and Occupational therapy in small group settings using theme-based activities. The group is facilitated by a Certified and Licensed Speech Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist.

Camps are available for children ages 2-16 and offered in two sessions.
Session I – June 23 – July 14 
Session II – July 28 – August 18

Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan

ALL girls are welcome to a summer of adventure at our Girl Scout Camps! Camp Linden in Linden, Camp Merrie Woode in Plainwell, and Camp O’ the Hills in Brooklyn all offer amazing programming that empower girls to take risks in a safe, girls-only environment. Summer Day Camps

Faith Lutheran Preschool, in Grand Blanc, is excited to announce their Summer Day Camps for children ages 3-5. Summer Day Camps will be offered in two sessions from June 22nd – 26th and July 13th – 17th, from 9 am – 11:30 am. These day camps are a wonderful way to introduce summer camp to younger children and offer arts and crafts, stories and songs, and outside activities with water including sprinklers, small pools, bubbles, and lawn games.
