Summer looks a little different this year. With in-person camps being canceled across the country, the summer fun and learning has moved online!

Welcome to Mid-Michigan Moms’ Virtual Summer Camps and Activities Guide! We’re moms and parents, just like you, looking for the best way for our children to engage and grow throughout the summer months. This year, we’re just doing it at home. 

Below, you will find information and resources for virtual camps and activities. Because we’re taking it online this year, we’ve expanded our offerings beyond the local area. As with so many other things that we’ve all done lately, we’re pivoting. In the process, we’re finding new and exciting resources!

We are thrilled to share them with you and your family.


Flint School of Performing Arts

Over 3,500 students attend the FSPA, and you are invited to join the school’s student community this summer!

Through the wide variety of lessons, camps, and classes, you can nurture your performing arts aspirations here at the FSPA, where music and dance is for EVERYONE – including you!

FSPA programs are designed for every age: babies, children, teens, and adults of all ages, too – whether you are 25, 45, 65, or better!

Tuition Assitance is available, and thanks to the Arts and Culture Millage, registrations fees are waived {adults and children} on all persons enrolling for Genesee County residents.

YMCA Camp Copneconic

While traditional summer camp programming is on hold this year for Camp Copneconic, check our their website and social media pages for fun and interactive videos and activities!

Since 1915, YMCA Camp Copneconic has provided outdoor programs for youth and families. Camp Copneconic is truly the Genuine Article in the camping industry.

Offering camps and activities year-round, guests return year after year because they feel part of an extended family and community that generous in spirit, fun in nature, and rich in tradition.  

Speech Language Learning Center

The Speech Language Learning Center’s summer programs provide Speech and Language therapy and Occupational therapy in small group settings using theme-based activities. The group is facilitated by a Certified and Licensed Speech Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist.

Instead of traditional camps for children ages 2-16 this year, individual appointments adhering to the strict CDC guidelines, and Teletheraphy sessions are being offered.


Sloan Museum at Courtland

While Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium are closed to fight the spread of Coronavirus, you can still have fun experiences with science at home!

Their educators and planetarium presenters are developing short, educational videos to inspire at-home learning while schools are closed.

They’ll show you fun science activities you can do with common household items, and stargazing tips using the night sky renderings you’d normally see in the planetarium.

Faith Lutheran

For the health and safety of both kids and volunteers, Faith Lutheran Grand Blanc’s summer VBS will transform into *Virtual* Bible School. Many elements will stay the same – Interactive openings and closings with songs, Bible stories, and crafts – except you will be watching and participating at home.

The church will prepare a box kit with everything you will need to experience Rocky Railway and learn how Jesus’ power pulls us through.

Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan

Virtual Summer Camp + Activity Guide

Imagine bringing the magic, fun, and educational experiences of Girl Scout camp right to your front door. The adventures, memories, and lessons waiting are endless. While Girl Scout camp will look different this year, we are committed to providing a fabulous, engaging summer camp experience for our girls.

This summer, join Camp Reimagined – the virtual, at-home camp experience beyond what you might consider possible. Your girl will get a subscription box with everything she needs for daily interactive activities, as well as, her own camp counselor, daily Zoom calls, and the connection and friendship she’s craving.
